Manuel Casado Pulido is a bionatural/holistic practitioner and massage instructor. In 2014, he registered the Maderoterapia® brand in Italy and was the first to formalize the massage sequence typical of this discipline.

Spanish by birth but now living in Italy, Manuel is the creator of the decontracting treatment and message of Maderoterapia®developed according to his method.

For more than 20 years, Manuel Casado has been involved in posturology and proper use of the body, applying these principles to rehabilitative gymnastics in addition to having created his own combat system based on these same principles.

“I am so in love with my work that I no longer even consider it as such. I want to dwell on how important it is to choose the right massage school.

Nowadays there are a plethora of schools of massage techniques, both holistic and aesthetic, and just as many teachers ready to “hand you down” any technique, and deciding who to trust would therefore seem very simple, but in fact it is not.

It is essential to ask yourself what you want to learn from the course you plan to choose, what you wish to pass on to those who later come to you for massage, and what is the purpose that led you to decide to take it.

If your goal is simply to learn a sequence to repurpose for your clients then the choice of teacher or school will be super easy: choose the school closest to you, or the one with the prettiest Facebook page, or the one with the teacher who proclaims himself to be a “guru,” the one who advertises at every trade show and offers the most gadgets…

If, on the other hand, your purpose is deeper, more human and more professional, then what you need to look for is harder to find, but not impossible...

The massage therapist is like a carpenter must have a toolbox full of tools, real and virtual, so that he can always use the most appropriate one to give the person he is massaging what he really needs.
This is wherethe importance of the teacher comes in because he or she is the one who has to pass this on to you.

The first thing you need to do is to read the resume of what could be YOUR teacher and find out what his experiences, his path over the years, his interests, and his knowledge are.
A good teacher must be based on accumulatedexperience , but he or she must still always be in pursuit of evolution, must have solid knowledge of anatomy and also an inner path so that he or she can help you understand how to achieve the balance between mind and body.

Knowing about these kinds of experiences allows you to be able to evaluate BOTTOM to whom you are entrusting your time.

Before signing up for a course, try to talk to your prospective teacher to check his or her preparation and willingness to teach you in the best way possible what you are going to learn.

Some pose as inventors and teachers of miraculous techniques, but in reality they are the same ones who will pass on a simple sequence to you, on par with choreography as an end in itself.

They are not going to explain the origins of the technique you are learning, they are not going to tell you why the movements have to be done in a certain way, they are not going to talk to you about trying to get the mind and body to achieve balance, and they are not going to do that because they don’t know either.

Some schools do not guarantee to issue the certificate at the end of the course, and so trainees may ask, “But how? I pay and I don’t have a guaranteed certificate?” That’s right!

It is the practice of some schools to issue the certificate only when they feel that the student has truly understood the “essence” of that technique, and those who are not deemed suitable can repeat the course for FREE until they are deemed truly ready. This methodology serves to stimulate practitioners to make a conscious and determined effort to achieve a positive outcome.
